1How can I refer?
Individuals are welcome to self-refer to Inspiring Growth Psychology, or this can be arranged through a professional. Referrals are accepted by email or phone and an appointment can be arranged following referral.
2What is the process following receipt of my referral?
Following your referral you will be contacted by telephone to arrange your appointment and provide an opportunity to answer any questions you may have. You will also be emailed the relevant registration forms to complete and you will be required to bring these with you to your first session, along with your mental health care plan (if you have been referred under the ‘Better access to mental health care’ initiative).
3What is the duration of a therapy session?
Sessions run for 50 minutes. If a longer session is required this will be discussed with you and the relevant fees will be detailed.
4Fees and rebates
Please contact us to discuss our current fees. Medicare rebates are available to those who have a referral and Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician. Payment is required at the time of consultation.
5What is the ‘Better Access’ to mental health care initiative?
Under this initiative Medicare rebates are available to patients for selected mental health services. Up to ten individual and ten group allied mental health services per calendar year are available to patients assessed as eligible by their GP. 6Can I obtain a rebate through Private Health Insurance?
If you do not have a GP referral, you may be eligible to claim a rebate through your private health insurance. We encourage you to check your eligibility directly. Please note that you cannot claim a Medicare rebate and a private health insurance rebate at the same time.
7Do you Bulk Bill?
As we are a private billing clinic, we do not offer bulk billing. A concession rate may be available if you are an eligible concession card holder. Please contact us for further information.
8What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel your session before the scheduled session time. This allows us the opportunity to offer the session to clients on our waiting list. If 48 hours notice is not provided a cancellation fee will apply. Please contact us for further information regarding these fees.
